Venue, campus and facilities
Maastricht is the capital of The Netherlands’ southernmost province of Limburg and is often called “The Paris of The Netherlands”. One of the oldest towns in the Netherlands, built upon pre-Roman foundations, it is now rapidly preparing itself for the future, as a national and international service center for the European Union. It is also the site of more than 80 international institutions, such as the European Institute of Public Administration, the European Center for Development Policy Management, a branch of the United Nations University, the Center for European Studies, the University of Maastricht, and of course, the Maastricht School of Management. Maastricht attracts many tourists from all over the world and was declared the “Best City of the Netherlands” in 2004.
The teaching building has a state-of-the-art architectural design with modern, tastefully furnished lecture and discussion rooms, plenty of computer workstations with broadband Internet access spread over several rooms, accessible to students also in the evenings and during
the weekends. A large information center has online full-text access to virtually all publications in the area of management and a large collection of books. The information center is networked with other university libraries, so practically all books can be borrowed. Participants enjoy accommodation in a comfortable student residence, conveniently located next to the school building. |
